This project contributes to the rejuvenation of an old shopping strip on the outskirts of Anglesea. Situated just a few minutes walk from the Anglesea Beach, the coastal aprtments offer a low maintenance option for living on the Great Ocean Road. Careful consideration of form and material was given with subtle nods to the sites original residents, the 4 Kings Roadhouse drive through restaurant that was recognised as a famous landmark in the late 1940s and 50s.
The apartments feature spacious open layouts with maximised view, natural light and functional balcony space. It was important that indiginous vegetation be incorparated into the design with number of planter boxes running along the permieter of the building. Splashes of colour on the facade present a vibrant landmark that has significantly increased the appeal of the already lucarative location.
