Elephant & Castle Beer Garden

This project involved rejuvenating a tired outdoor area by designing a new beer garden to transform the space. 3iD worked closely with the client to ideate the theme of ‘a day at the races’, recreating some of the glamour and excitement of the famed ‘Bird Cage’.

Without major structural changes, the indoor-outdoor space was revitalised with intuitive use of tactile surfaces and textures, floor coverings and colour to achieve a vibrant ambience that has significantly boosted patronage of the space.

Open air food and beverage service has become the most popular means of socialising in recent times and this space seeks to make the very most of it.
