The key focus of the project was to refresh and rebrand the LA building with a modern and sustainable façade, breathing new life into a dated building with dilapidated timber detailing. The outcome resulted in the installation of a new long-life aluminium façade and external glazing, giving the building a sleek and contemporary look. Compliance concerns were addressed including roof safety measures and new mechanical heating and cooling units installed to a modified existing system. Energy efficiency was improved and operational costs reduced. The alterations to the siphonic drainage system were also a significant part of the project. Downpipe replacement was carried out to complement the new drainage system, ensuring that the building’s plumbing was brought to satisfactory condition with optimal function.
