Deans Marsh Primary School

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The refurbishment of Deans Marsh Primary School incorporated the rationalisation and reconfiguration of the prior principal’s residence into an effective, modern, flexible learning environment, with additional alterations to the existing Music/Art space.

The existing spaces have been reinvigorated by a new combination of measures including lighting, improved line of site visibility to all spaces, functional storage, and breakout spaces with a vibrant and appealing colour aesthetic.
The inclusion of an outdoor learning environment and wet area allows flexible delivery of curriculum for varying group sizes.

3iD’s upgrade to Deans Marsh Primary School successfully transforms areas of a small country school into modern spaces that supports students’ abilities in learning new skills, problem solving, Arts and Technology. This modernisation re-establishes the GPCs as central learning environments, allowing students access to technology and science resources in line with current educational and pedagogical best standards.

We have been lucky enough to have 3iD Architecture in charge of our Capital building works in 2018 – 2019. Building works at a school is never an easy time, with disruption of regular programs, however Mike and the team at 3iD have been a tremendous source of ongoing support for us and have helped the process to run as smoothly as possible. From the early stages of pre-work discussions and planning, through to the completion and evaluation of the work, 3iD have been easy to reach, professional, and eager to please. Our school community are extremely happy with the results of our Capital building works project. Thank you to the team at 3iD.
